Stacking chair with arms for outdoor use. Structure, seat and back in lacquered stainless steel 304.
The functional nature and clean lines characterise open, a system of tables and chairs suitable for outdoor use. A strong, resistant material defined with soft lines and curves which enrich the profile of the chairs: practical, stackable and ideal for gardens or public areas. The round tables are made from fine sheet steel with a practical and decorative pierced surface.
Design by James Irvine
(1958-2013) Born in London i, he graduated in 1984 at the Royal College of Art, London. From 1984 to 1992 he was a design consultant for Olivetti design studio in Milan, designing industrial products under the direction of Michele De Lucchi and Ettore Sottsass. From 1993 to 1998 in parallel to his private studio, he was a partner of Sottsass Associati Milan and was responsible for the industrial design group.
In 2007 he designed for Alias he outdoor collection open system.
